College Success

I work with students to help them be successful in college and to reduce the likelihood that they will struggle at or leave a college.

Student Engagement

Engagement is a key to succeeding after college.  Engagement can include such things as working with professors, collaborating with a mentor, writing an honors thesis, extracurricular activities, and internships.  Some of these activities can be competitive within a college, so it is best to research ones that you have your heart set on.  Here is a paper from Stanford University (yes, that highly selective school in California) that indicates engagement is more important than the selectivity of a school in determining student outcomes:

Legal Documents

Students in college are generally adults, and it is typically helpful for adults to have legal documents.  Here is an article on what documents may be helpful:  https://www.savingforcollege.com/article/legal-documents-for-students-who-are-headed-to-college.
